Our Story
Ode to Oneself is a quiet devotion to remembrance – of who we are, and of the oneness to which we belong.
Founded in Australia by jeweller and artist Tara Barnard, Ode to Oneself draws inspiration from ancient adornment traditions and the spiritual symbolism woven through old-world jewellery — objects once created not only for beauty, but as markers of protection, devotion, memory, and the unseen.
Each piece is designed and handcrafted by Tara, whose work has centred around fine jewellery and artistic practice since 2011.
Rooted in the enduring language of symbolism, her pieces are created with intention — not merely to adorn, but to hold meaning. They are objects of remembrance, designed to honour the authentic self and our place within the greater whole.
For Tara, jewellery is more than ornamentation. It is a personal language — a way of marking what matters, remembering who we are, and the returning to our own nature.
Inspired by timeless forms, her work exists between the earthly and the cosmic —
a meeting point of body, spirit, and memory.
This is not merely jewellery.
It is a return — an ode, always, to oneself, and to the oneness that connects all things.
