The Meaning of the Root Chakra
The Root Chakra rests at the base of the spine and is traditionally associated with grounding, stability, and a sense of belonging. It speaks to our connection with the physical world and the foundations that support us.
When experienced in harmony, it may be reflected through steadiness, security, and feeling connected to the body. When asking for greater attention, it may present as restlessness, instability, or feeling disconnected from oneself. It can be viewed as an invitation to return to what grounds and supports us.
In harmony: Grounded, secure, steady and connected to the body.
Calling for attention: Restlessness, instability, fear or feeling disconnected from oneself.
